The Board is comprised of five electors (registered voters) who are appointed by the city commission for three-year terms.
About the Board
The City Charter provides for a Civil Service Board to enforce and administer the City's Merit System. The Merit System governs those promotion, discipline and discharge procedures, which are not regulated by union contracts.
