Adult Leagues

Team registration is handled in the Recreation office at the Department of Public Service. Registration for most leagues is done six to eight weeks prior to the start of the season.

Youth Associations

A volunteer Board of Directors in co-operation with the Recreation Department manages the following youth athletic programs:

Royal Oak Hockey Club

Youth hockey is a long-standing tradition in the Royal Oak community that has spanned 50+ years since ROHA (Royal Oak Hockey Association) was originally established in 1956. In the summer of 2014, the volunteer-based Royal Oak Hockey Association transitioned to the new Royal Oak Hockey Club, a youth hockey structure which is  led by the rink staff members with the added experience of the Suburban Sports Group team

Royal Oak Titans Youth Football

titans1The city has a youth football and cheer leading team that serves the youth of Royal Oak. They participate and are part of the OMYFA-Oakland Macomb Youth Football Association.

Registration for fall football and cheerleading will be held at the Royal Oak Senior Center on Marais and is usually in May. Please visit the Royal Oak Titans Website for more information.

ROSL: (Royal Oak Sandlot League)

The Royal Oak Sandlot League (ROSL) offers leagues for softball and hardball. Practices begin in May and the season ends in late July. Youth who live in the City of Royal Oak or attend a school in the City of Royal Oak (public or private) are eligible to participate.

Royal Oak FC Premier and Recreational Soccer Club

Royal Oak Football Club (ROFC) is a non-profit, community-based, competitive club that has both premier and recreational soccer teams for children ages 3 - 19, for all skill levels. ROFC teams are open to both residents and non-residents of Royal Oak! We are an MSYSA, Director's Academy, MSPSP, MYSL-affiliated club.

Premier team tryouts will be held on June 11 - 12, 2022. Join us ahead of tryouts for Free Open Training June 7, 8, and 9th to meet the coaches and your potential teammates! Registration for Fall youth recreational teams ends in late July and registration for Spring rec teams ends in February. ROFC also runs age-specific Summer Soccer Camps in July as well! Visit https://www.royaloakfc.com/ for more information and to register for our various programs! 

Total Soccer

The indoor, bubble-domed structure has been operating in Royal Oak for several years. The facility offers soccer leagues, camps, clinics and tournaments for soccer players from age 4 to 40 and older. Total Soccer operates seasonally from October to April.
