Traffic Fines

Due Date

Read both sides of the citation you received. The due date on the front is important.

Failure to respond by the due date will result in additional costs, in addition to the possible issuance of an arrest warrant and/or suspension of your driver’s license.

ALL CIVIL INFRACTIONS may be paid on or before the due date, in person, web, or by mail. This date is NOT the date you must be in court or see the judge. If you wish to contest the ticket and request a hearing, you MUST do so before the due date (14 days) either by phone, mail, or in person.

All Misdemeanor tickets, other than the exceptions noted below, must be resolved by appearing on the date and time indicated on the ticket.

Payment

Checks must be in U.S. funds, drawn on a U.S. bank, payable to the 44th District Court. No personal checks accepted if the driver’s license is suspended. You may pay online through CLEMIS the first 14 days. You will need your last name as it appears on the ticket and the ticket number.

After 14 days CLEMIS is no longer available. However, you can pay using AllPaid, Inc.
by calling 888-604-7888 or online. The court’s pay location code is 3031. This is critical for proper payment. There is a service charge for each method.
