CAP1735 Road Reconstruction Improvements
Contractor: Mark Anthony Contracting, Inc.
Batavia Avenue
The contractor plans to mill the asphalt roadway on Monday September 11th. The road will still be accessible to traffic.
Later in the week, the contractor plans to replace the concrete road base in areas where utility work was performed. Short sections of the road may be closed to allow for this work, with access from the cross streets available for residents.
Once the concrete road base is placed and cured, the contractor will install the hot mix asphalt for the roadway, likely in the next couple weeks.
Dallas Avenue
The contractor will be replacing the removed driveway approaches and sidewalk between Helene and Lenox during the week of September 11th.
The concrete roadway from Lenox to Stephenson Highway will be removed during the week, and storm sewer will be installed. The contractor tentatively plans to pour the new pavement during the week of September 18th.
Fairview Avenue
The contractor will be replacing driveway approaches on Fairview Avenue on Friday September 8th. Restoration will follow within a few weeks.
Kalama Avenue and Brinkey Avenue
The contractor plans to work on restoration for these streets in the coming weeks.
There are several flags of sidewalk that were removed by Consumers Energy for the gas main work and Consumers Energy is responsible for replacing this concrete.
Lockwood Avenue
The water main work is now complete and the contractor plans to install storm sewer during the week of September 11th. The roadway is tentatively scheduled to be paved later in the week of September 18th.
