2025 Construction Projects

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

CAP2506 13 Mile Road Resurfacing

Rochester Road to Campbell Road

The contractor will continue pouring concrete curbing, sidewalks and driveway approaches this week, weather permitting. Once poured, the concrete must cure for 7-10 days until it can be re-opened to traffic.

The contractor also plans to mill(remove pavement) on the outside lanes later this week once all concrete work is complete.

CAP2510 Water Main Improvements

Lexington Boulevard - Nakota Road - E. Parent Avenue

Lexington Blvd - This week the contractor will be working on water services, connecting each homes water service line to the new water main. This only requires an approximate 30-minute shut off at each residence while they work their way down the block and the contractor will be knocking on doors to notify residents.

E. Parent Ave - The water main work is complete and the contractor plans to begin excavating and prepping for the new road pavement beginning next week.

Nakota Rd - Kaltz, a Consumers Energy contractor, is finishing up gas work prior to the city starting the water main project.

2025 Sidewalk Program

All regular sidewalk work is complete except for along Woodward Avenue and Coolidge Highway. The contractor is working on their punch list of repairs before returning to the remaining major road work.

Please note that construction schedules are tentative, and may change based on weather delays, subcontractors or substantial field modifications. These updates are based on the information currently available.
