City Commission Meets Monday

Residents can find agendas for city commission meetings on the city's website.

Please note, meeting agendas are often revised at the last minute, so please recheck the agenda prior to the meeting for any changes.

Family Pride

June is Pride Month, and Royal Oak is pROud to celebrate with our LGBTQIA+ families!

We hope to see everyone at the Royal Oak Farmers Market on June 11 from 4-9 pm for the Family Pride celebration.  Everyone who loves and supports our vibrant community is encouraged to attend — kids, parents, chosen families, friends, and allies alike.

Pick Up the 2025 Park Passport

While you are there pick up the 2025 Park Passport.  Now paperback perfect bound with a glossy cover, the new passport is packed with fresh photos, updated info on all 51 parks, and it's a Special Farmers Market Edition celebrating the market’s 100th birthday!

Food Scraps Only

Bring your compost to the WEST porch of the farmers market between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Look for the bright green bins!

WHAT CAN GO IN THE BIN:

Acceptable materials include food scraps, BPI* certified materials, coffee and tea. (Download the Royal Oak Recycling Guide (PDF).)

KEEP THESE OUT!

🚫 Plastic & metal

🚫 Non-BPI certified food containers

🚫 Plastic bags are our biggest problem—please bring your compost in a compostable bag or a reusable bucket.

*The Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) checks if a material can break down safely in compost. If something is BPI-certified, it means it has been tested to make sure it composts properly.
