Winter Readiness Guidebook

Winter is Here! Be Ready!

No significant snowfall is expected over the next few days, but cold temperatures are on the way! Highs in the 20s and lows in the teens (or even single digits) are forecasted this weekend into next week. Stay safe and prepared by downloading the Winter Readiness Guide at romi.gov/winter or picking up a printed copy at:

  • City Hall (203 S Troy)
  • Department of Public Services (1600 N Campbell Rd)

Plan ahead and make winter a breeze!

Holiday Tree Collection Undarway

Curbside tree recycling is available through Jan. 10 on your regular collection day. Place your tree at the curb by 7 a.m. and be sure to remove all decorations, lights, stands, tinsel, etc. Do NOT place trees in plastic bags. Improperly prepared trees will not be picked up until corrected.

After Jan. 13, residents can dispose of trees at SOCRRA (995 Coolidge) by appointment only through Apr. 4. Call 248-288-5150 for details.

Yard Waste Reminder

Yard waste collection ended on Dec. 13.  Hold onto yard waste  through Apr. 4 or drop off up to 10 bags/day at SOCRRA (free of charge). Regular collection resumes Apr. 7.

Tip: Leave grass clippings on your lawn to recycle nutrients naturally!
