STAY COOL, ROYAL OAK, WITH THESE TIPS

😎Stay indoors (ideally in an air-conditioned environment)
😎If your cooling plan includes using a fan, remember that fans are effective only if indoor temperatures are less than 90°F. With indoor temperatures above 90°F, a fan can increase body temperature.
😎Drink plenty of water. You’ll need to replace the moisture that you’re losing when you sweat. If you’re caring for an older loved one, encourage them to drink more in the heat, especially if they’re perspiring.
😎Dress for the heat. Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. Natural fibers like cotton or linen are best.
😎Rest. Avoid strenuous activities.
😎Soak. Take a cool shower or bath to help you cool down.
😎Know the signs of heat illness and be watchful for symptoms both for you and anyone you might be caring for. Learn the signs at https://www.cdc.gov/extreme-heat/signs-symptoms/index.html.
