Make your Plan to Vote

Early voting ends on Sunday, August 4! You can vote at:

  •  M/M Senior Center, 3500 Marais, Royal Oak, Room 6
  •  Waterford Oaks Activity Center, 2800 Watkins Lake Rd, Waterford

Early voting hours at the above locations are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. through Sunday, 

Other important dates to remember:

Friday, August 2 @ 5 p.m.: Deadline for voters who have lost their absentee ballot or not yet received their ballot in the mail to submit a written request to spoil their absent voter ballot and receive a new absent voter ballot by mail.

Saturday, August 3: City Clerk's office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 pm to give out absentee ballots.

Monday, August 5: Last day to ask for an absentee ballot in-person at the City Clerk's office.

Tuesday, August 6: Election Day! Polls open are from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Mail-in ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. to be counted. Early voting results will be counted at 8 p.m. at City Hall.

The City Clerk’s office is located on the first floor of City Hall at 203 S Troy St. 

City Hall is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Questions? Call 248-246-3050.

Need Help With Rent

Royal Oak renters may be eligible for financial assistance for unpaid rent, late fees, etc. dating back to no more than three months. Payments are made directly to landlords, not the renter household. This program is designed to prevent eviction.

Royal Oak renters in need of help may contact Legal Aid & Defender Association at 248-554-1052 or email royal-oak@ladadetroit.org.

Muscle at the Museum

Muscle & More @ the Museum is this Saturday, Aug. 3 at 1411 W. Webster. Meet Grand Marshal Ralph Haney at 10:30 a.m. and stick around for the award presentations at 2:30 p.m. All your favorite local food selections will be there -- All Beef hot dogs, Little Brothers Burgers, Faygo, Better Made and Ray's Ice Cream.

And don't miss out on the Automotive Concept Art Opening Reception on Aug. 9 from 7-9 p.m. to meet talented automotive designers and hear them speak about their exciting careers.
