In consideration of heavy snowfall and accumulations expected to meet or exceed 4 inches, the Department of Public Services has declared a snow emergency, effective 6 p.m., Wednesday January 25, 2023.
During and immediately following the primary snowfall, crews will prioritize clearing priority one streets which consist of major arterial roadways and other high-volume routes. Work in neighborhoods will begin once priority one routes have been fully cleared.
Plowing on residential streets will begin the south end and move north.
City ordinance prohibits on-street parking during declared snow emergencies, except for special permit holders. Vehicles parked in the street may be ticketed or towed. The parking prohibition allows for plows to proceed safely and unimpeded through neighborhoods and speeds the task of clearing the entire city – your cooperation is appreciated!
