Donations of books and audio-visual materials are always welcome. Most needed are hardcovers and paperbacks in good condition, magazines that are no more than 6 months old, books about Michigan, DVDs, CDs, LPs and VHS tapes. We also accept games and puzzles with all pieces and instructions. PLEASE DO NOT donate materials that are musty, moldy, dirty, torn, textbooks more than 3 years old or audio cassettes. Please leave donations on the cart next to the Circulation Desk on the main floor or outside in the green wagon at the Troy Street (staff) entrance. Staff will be glad to give you a receipt for tax purposes. Please call in advance if dropping off multiple boxes of materials.
Donation of materials does not guarantee that they will be added to the collection or sold. The Friends of the Library reserve the right to determine whether to keep donated items and where they will be routed.
