Arts du Jour returns to the Royal Oak Public Library on Thursday evening, August 25. Arts du Jour provides a sneak peek of the food, music and art of Arts, Beats, and Eats while supporting great metro Detroit charities. Gale Courses offers patrons access to hundreds of instructor-led online courses covering everything from health and wellness to creative writing, computer programming, GED test preparation and much more.
These courses are developed by expert instructors, many currently working at universities around the country, and have continuous enrollment dates.
The library has 2015 federal tax forms 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ and the booklets for each of the three forms.
MI 1040 forms and instructions are available, along with the MI 1040CR-7 (Home Heating Credit Claim) and related instructions.
With 4000 courses available, Pronunciator gives Royal Oak patrons access to 80 Languages. The languages range from Afrikaans to Mongolian to Xhosa (and more in between). These language courses are available in English as well as many other languages.
Know someone who needs to learn English? Pronunciator also provides ESL courses in 50 different languages to help learn and improve English language skills.
The Royal Oak Public Library offers large print books, audiobooks, downloadable books and an adaptive computer that contains magnification software, text to speech, and a large print keyboard. Librarians are available to help anyone wishing to browse these collections or use the adaptive computer.
