Take a break, sit back, and enjoy live music at the Royal Oak Public Library!
Join us on Saturday, May 11 at 3:00 PM in the Friends Auditorium for a special program presented by Carl Cafagna & the North Star Saxophone Quartet.
This group features four saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone,) and plays the widest variety of music you will hear from any band, anywhere. J.S. Bach, the Beatles, Scott Joplin, George Gershwin, original music by the group, even The Simpsons TV theme. You’ll hear all this and more!
With a range nearly as wide as the piano, and an artistic palette to match, “North Star” will entertain and amaze you. The quartet is led by awardwinning Detroit area musician Carl Cafagna, who has performed with Natalie Cole, the Temptations, Regis Philbin, Hot Club of Detroit, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Metro Jazz Voices, and more. Carl, a former Royal Oak resident, is thrilled to bring this, his most unique ensemble, to the music series.
