The Royal Oak Public Library mural is complete and 250 individuals were on hand for a viewing reception on April 17, 2009 honoring mural artist, Kate Paul of Paul Studios and area students whose art was included in the first Royal Oak Public Schools student art exhibit which concluded.
This project is representative of the continued Library investment in public art. The ROPL Art Committee chose Ms. Paul's design from eight submitted proposals. The project was generously underwritten by the Friends of the Library with proceeds from used book sales in the Friends Shop. We are forever grateful for the tireless efforts of these volunteers.
