Noted author Cindy La Ferle will host a writing workshop Wednesday, May 18 at 7:00 PM in the Friends Auditorium. Good, clean writing is essential, whether you’re trying to craft a compelling story or an effective press release. This workshop is designed to target seven common errors and oversights that stand between you and successful publication. You’ll return home with some basic tips for editing your own work – and impressing editors. New and experienced writers in all genres are welcome. La Ferle, who served as the Library’s first writer-in-residence, has 30 years of publishing and journalism experience. In addition to her award-winning story collection, Writing Home, La Ferle has published features and essays in more than 60 local and national anthologies, newspapers, and magazines.
