The 2016 Royal Oak Area Preschool and Child Care Directory provides information on over 40 area facilities that provide services for children ages six and under. The directory provides information on area preschools, child care programs, educational approaches, special needs programs, and specialty programs.
Gale Courses offers patrons access to hundreds of instructor-led online courses covering everything from health and wellness to creative writing, computer programming, GED test preparation and much more.
These courses are developed by expert instructors, many currently working at universities around the country, and have continuous enrollment dates.
Library Hours Will Increase In September.
The Royal Oak Public Library will be restoring Tuesday and Thursday morning hours. Starting on September 6, the library will open at 10 AM. Currently the library opens at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which were reductions made during the recession.
The Royal Oak Public Library offers large print books, audiobooks, downloadable books and an adaptive computer that contains magnification software, text to speech, and a large print keyboard. Librarians are available to help anyone wishing to browse these collections or use the adaptive computer.
