Edward H. Frincke

Edward H. Frincke, 87, of Southfield for more than 20 years, formerly of Royal Oak, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, a St. Anne's Mead, Southfield. He was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Royal Oak. Mr. Frincke served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater including: Guadalcanal, British Solomon Islands; Cape Gloucester, New Britain and .Peleliu Island. He was an active lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, where he served in various capacities including chairman of trustees. He also was the past president of Precision Tools & Repair. Surviving are his wife, Jean, whom he wed Dec. 18, 1944, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Royal Oak; children, Larry (Sandy) Frincke of Southfield, David Frincke of East China, Laura (Jerome) Miller of Beverly Hills and Susan (Paul) Perry of Luzerne; grandchildren, Jacqueline Frincke, Sarah and Kate Miller and Arthur and Rhiannon Perry; and great-grandchild, Taylor Perry. He was predeceased by parents the Rev. Otto and Ella Frincke. Visitation, 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-8 p.m. Monday, Wm. Lilly Elizabeth (Killby) Wallace, 86, of Troy since 1932, diedJan. 26, 2008, at home. She was born Oct 12,1921, in London, Ontario, Canada. She retired as a baker for the Troy School District. She was a member of St. Augustine Lutheran Church in Troy. Surviving are her children, Kathleen (Archie) Donald of Forest, Ontario, Canada, Vicki (Douglas) Turner of Utica, Charles (Denise) Wallace of Siler City, N.C., Brian (Ann) Wallace of Troy and Elizabeth Alfee ofTroutman, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Victor Wallace, on Jan. 27, 2003. They were married Oct. 12, 1940, in Detroit. Parents Herbert and Christabel Killby and brother Herbert A. Emma C. Heid, 100, of Huntington Woods, died Jan. 27, 2008, at Evergreen Health and Living Center, in Southfield. She was born Nov. 5, 1907, in Indianapolis, Ind. Mrs. Heid was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a resident of Huntington Woods for 62 years. Mrs. Heid is survived by her children, Barbara (Rex) Stokes of San Antonio and Carole (Dennis) Mascioli of Huntington Woods; grandchildren Karen (Will) Speller, Lynda Hacker, Todd (Mandy) Mascioli, Scot (Aimee) Mascioli and Ashley Mascioli; and great-granddaughter Emma Louise Mascioli. Visitation for Mrs. Heid, Wednesday, 10 a.m. -1 p.m., will be at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak, followed by the funeral service. Donald F. Docter

Donald F. Docter, 75, of Royal Oak, formerly of Berkley, died Jan. 28, 2008. He was born Sept. 26,1932, in Southfield Township, Mich. Mr. Docter served the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Laudra J. Collins Feb. 11, 1953, in Berkley. He was a Royal Oak resident for 55 years. Mr. Docter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Laudra; his children, David (Beth) Docter of Royal Oak, Allen Docter of Royal Oak, Gary (Nancy) Docter of Goodrich, and Daniel (Nichole) Docter of Hazel Park; his eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 W.12 Mile Road, Berkley, is Wednesday, 2-9 p.m. Mr. Docter will lie in state at Berkley Community Church, 2855 Wiltshire, Berkley, Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, 11 a.m. Rev. Peter S. Carlson will officiate the funeral. White Chapel Cemetery in Troy will serve as Mr. Docter's final resting place. Memorial contributions may be made to Berkley Community Church. Helmi Hongisto

Helmi Hongisto, 86, of Clawson, died Jan. 28, 2008, at Royal Oak William Beaumont Hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Chassell Mich. Mrs_ Hongisto was a Clawson resident for more than 50 years. She retired from Jabil in Auburn Hills in 1984 after 13 years of service in electronic assembly. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening and fishing with her husband. Mrs. Hongisto is survived by her children; Ida (Russell) Jarvi, Sarah (Bruce) Strand, Joan Hongisto, Helen (Brian) Bekkala, Gordon Hongisto, Ellen (Kim) Le, Matt (Polly) Hongisto and Carolyn Hongisto; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Charles Albert Hongisto, her parents, five brothers, two sisters and two grandsons. Visitation is Wednesday, 2-9 p.m., Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., Clawson.
