Peggy (Lillian) Gration, 78, of Madison Heights, died Jan. 31, 2008, in Sterling Heights. She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in West Virginia. Mrs. Gration married her husband, Woody, Sept. 2, 1946. She was a resident of Madison Heights for 50 years. Mrs. Gration is survived by her husband; son, John (Carol) Gration of Sterling Heights; grandchildren, Kelly, Jaclyn and Dana; siblings, Lorene Wood of Cool Ridge, W. Va., Nova (Sam) Polk of Bozoo, W. Va., Shelby Carter of St. Clair Shores, Edith (Dave) Miller of Hayward, Wis., Sandra Alfery of Madison Heights, Clayton (Annabelle) Cox of Cross, S.C., Larry (Mary) Cox of Roselle, Ill., and Roger (Rosa) Cox of Manassas, Va.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jerry Gration; daughter, Audrey Gration; and siblings, Stanley Cox and Eugene Cox. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until a 5 p.m. funeral service at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre, Madison Heights. Mrs. Gration will be buried at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak. Memorial contributions may be made to Henry Ford Hospice.

Theodore E. Meister Jr., 65, of Wixom, died Jan. 30, 2008. Mr. Meister was the beloved husband of Robin (McGowan); father of Tracey (John) Yarlott and Jennifer Kreski; stepfather of Aileen (Tim) Nordstrom and Carrie McGowan; brother of Pamela Wilde and Thomas Meister; and "Grandpa Grizz" to seven grandchildren. Mr. Meister is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear. friends. A memorial service for Mr. Meister will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford. Ursula "Sue" I. Mullen, of Hazel Park, died Feb. 1, 2008, at Cambridge East Nursing Home in Madison Heights. She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Detroit. Ms. Mullen was a Hazel Park resident for more than 80 years. She graduated from Shrine High School in Royal Oak and was employed as a bookkeeper with Kerns, S.S. Kresge, Awrey Bakery and the Faygo Bottling Company in Detroit. She was a member of St. Justin's Altar Society and a prior member of St. Rita's in Detroit. She loved traveling and hockey, and she was a hockey season ticket holder for many years. Ms. Mullen is survived by her brother, Joseph (Joanie) Mullen, and her 26 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Elizabeth Mullen; and her siblings, Kenneth Mullen, Rita Hughes, Mary Doyle and James Mullen. Visitation, Sunday, 1-5 p.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road, Royal Oak. Ms. Mullen will lie in State Monday, 11:30 a.m., until the funeral Mass, noon, at National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak. The burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
