John P. McCabe age 82of Algonac formerly of Clawson and Ferndaledied October 27 2011 from complications of Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure. John and his wife Joan owned and operated Mac Assembly for 22 years until their retirement in 1992.John was a member of the Clawson American Legion Post and Marysville Post for more than 40 years.He was also a past member of the BPOE Clawson-Troy Elks. He was a Korean War Veteran. John loved woodworking working in his garden and watching the ships go by from his deck on the St. Clair River. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and took many trips. He is survived by his wife Joan; children Bob (Linda) Krauskopf of West Branch and Karla (Gary) Barnes of Waterford; grandchildren Melissa and Jeff Krauskopf Gregory and Brooke Barnes Chris (Melissa) Dillon of Kalamazoo and David (Brittany) Dillon of Chicago; great-grandchildren Jake and Logan Dillon and Elliot Dillon. He is also survived by his siblings Peter Joe and Catherine. In lieu of flowers donations to the and . Jeanne Marie (Marchildon) McGillivary age 74 of Royal Oak loving wife and mother died in her sleep Oct. 11 2011 following a spirited battle with cancer and pulmonary disease. Jeanne was born in Detroit to Raymond and Florence (Fitzgerald) Marchildon. She earned a nursing degree from Highland Park Community College in 1956 the same year she married Joseph Frank McGillivary. While raising four children Jeanne worked for several doctors in Royal Oak taught nursing classes and later worked as a medical claims investigator for Aetna until her retirement. She is survived by her husband; daughter Dianne (Charles) Dagher; sons Michael and Brian (Rebecca); sister Joanne King; cousin Linda Odman; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sheryl and step-daughter Pam. The visitation will be Friday 3-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 705 W. Eleven Mile Road (4 blocks E. of Woodward) Royal Oak. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday 12 noon at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Royal Oak. Opal Pearl Miles age 86 of St. Clair Shores died September 25 2011 at Masters Health Care Center Algood Tenn. She was born August 4 1925 in Bumpus Mills Tenn. to the late Bryan and Grace Robertson Miles. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of St. Clair Shores and retired from Parke-Davis with over 42 years of service. Opal is survived by her sister-in-law Christene Loftis Miles; niece Brenda (Mark) Michel all of Cookeville Tenn. She was predeceased by her brother William B. Miles.
