On select Tuesdays at 9:30 AM at the Mahany/Meininger Senior Center, we along with the staff of the Mahany/Meininger Senior Center, will explore Keith Famie’s exciting Detroit Documentary DVD series entitled Our Story Of... The series explores the different ethnic groups that make the Metro Detroit Area such a wonderful place to live. The series is dedicated to enriching Metro Detroit by fostering a greater understanding of the individual ethnic communities that define us. Each DVD features a collection of marvelous human interest stories which promise to be of lasting importance to the chronicle of Detroit, and will follow our growth from a river town to a bustling, multi-cultural, industrial powerhouse.

After each DVD a taste of each heritage will be shared.

  • September 11 – Polish
  • October 9 – Italian
  • November 13 – Greece
  • December 11 – India
  • January 8 – Arabic
