Eleanor Dorothy Misner of Hazel Park met her Lord and Savior on Monday December 24 2012. Dottie was born on April 30 1926 to Horace H. and Nellie (nee Spink) Sheffield in Highland Park Mich. Dottie grew up and went to school in Ferndale Mich. On May 25 1942 she married Thomas Fred Misner in Royal Oak Mich and proceeded to have five children. They moved to Hazel Park in 1950. Dottie was a full time homemaker. Dottie is survived by her children Joan C. (Ron) Frosh of Durand Mich Thomas O. (Joyce) Misner of Troy Mich Richard H. (Debbie) Misner of Grand Blanc Mich Constance M. (Jeff) Huff of Maybee Mich and daughter-in-law Penny Misner of Benzonia Mich. She is also survived by her siblings Horace Sheffield of Berkley Mich Ann Coleman of Harrisburg PA and Nora Blackwell of Brighton Mich. Dottie is survived by 14 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Dottie was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1979 her son Gerald F. in 2010 and companion Robert Olsway in 2000. She is also predeceased by her parents Harry and Nellie sister in-law Margaret Sheffield and brother-in-laws Robert Coleman and Edward Blackwell. Dottie was born with a servant's heart and took care of everyone. She just couldn't do enough for people. She loved spending time staying with her daughters and her sisters. She loved parties and family reunions. She could always be counted on to pitch in and make the parties grand. She will be sorely missed. In keeping with Dottie's servant's heart she has donated her body to Michigan State University for research. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers her children request that donations be made to Memorial Hospice of Owosso Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe Mich or the of Michigan..
