Dorothy C. Zimmer age 99 a resident of Royal Oak since 1946 died June 23 2012 at the Sanctuary at the Abbey in Warren. She was born July 30 1912 in Saint Clair to the late Constant and Gertrude Plourde. Mrs. Zimmer was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak since 1946. She enjoyed crafts painting camping and traveling to all 50 states. She is survived by her children Christyann (Gar) Wood of Sturgis Mich. Paula (David Zaffina) Zimmer of Madison Heights Joseph (Crystal) Zimmer of Grants Pass OR Mary (Bob) Lenaway of Ferndale and Danial Zimmer of Royal Oak; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Zimmer. Services were held. Memorials to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen appreciated. Arrangements by Wm.
