Edward Perry Ross age 78 of Oak Park died November 12 2011.He was born April 17 1933 in Oak Park to the late Perry and Grace. Mr. Ross was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary's in Royal Oak and studied law at Wayne State University. He was an amateur boxer in his youth. He served stateside in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 0330 since 1987. He worked more than 30 years as a tool and die maker at Richard and Trute and retired as a supervisor of the machining department at Warren Stamping Chrysler Corporation. He was a member of the UAW Local 869. Mr. Ross will be remembered for his precision honesty charm voice entertaining stories and sense of humor. He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Rogers of Wheaton Ill.; niece Missy Rogers of Carol Stream Ill.; nephew Robert Rogers of Aurora Ill.; great nephews Christopher and Steven Rogers; great niece Hannah Rogers; and dozens of cousins. There will be a memorial visitation Wednesday November 30th from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak.
