Roderick Alan Cavanaugh, 59, of Pleasant Ridge, formerly of Berkley, died April 25, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak_ He was born May 13, 1948, in Highland Park to John Roderick and Donna Louise Cavanaugh Mr. Cavanaugh served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He worked as the groundskeeper at Roseland Cemetery Park in Berkley for 30 years. Surviving are his children, Nathan Cavanaugh of Pleasant Ridge and Angela Cavanaugh of Hazel Park; siblings Jane L. (Scott) Thompson of Algonac, John H. (Amy) Cavanaugh of Mustang Ridge, Texas, Charles C. (Donna M.) Cavanaugh of Sterling Heights, Robert W. Cavanaugh of Algonac and Russell A. (Amanda) Cavanaugh of Cottondale, Ala.; and grandchildren Michael, Clayton and Ashleigh. He was predeceased by his parents. Visitation Thursday, 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, will be at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak. Burial with military honors at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley.
