Walter Kasmir Leonowicz, 81, of Hazel Park, died Friday, April 25, 2008. Mr. Leonowicz was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who worked as an electrician. He retired from ADT after 42 years there. He enjoyed collecting trains. Family said his greatest legacy is the way he loved them unconditionally. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene (nee Kobylarz); children, Kenneth, David, Steven, Paul, and Charles, and Renee VanderHagen; eight grandchildren; and brothers, Frank, John, and Chester. He was predeceased by a son, Chris. Visitation, 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 50 Annabelle, Hazel Park, until a 10 a.m. funeral Mass; in lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
