Russell Pearsall, 85, a lifelong resident of Clawson, died April 18, 2008, at St. Joseph Oakland Hospital. He was born June 22, 1922, in Detroit. Mr. Pearsall was a World War II Army veteran where he earned two Purple Heart medals. He retired in 1974 from Chrysler's McGraw Glass Division after 30 years of service. Mr. Pearsall was a charter member of the Clawson-Troy Elks and was formerly active in the drill team and American Legion Post Clawson, VFW, and Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. Mr. Pearsall is survived by his children, Dawn Turner, Rick (Marceda) Pearsall and Mike Pearsall; and grandchildren Cheryl (David) Dry, Carmela, Samantha, Michael and Kaitlyn Pearsall. He was predeceased by his wife, Vera, whom he married in 1946. Visitation Monday, 2-9 p.m., and funeral Tuesday, 10 a.m., will be at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main, Clawson.
