Lydia E. Hahn, 81, a Royal Oak resident for more than 50 years, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at her home. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Detroit. Mrs. Hahn worked for Garner-Shelton, where she met her husband, for many years. She also worked as the purchasing agent for the largest distributor of carborundum abrasives in the Midwest and for Allar Corp. She attended Albion College for two years. Mrs. Hahn is survived by her children, Richard (Diane) Hahn of Royal Oak, Linda A. Hahn of Clawson, Robert J. Hahn of Madison Heights and Kristine (Rick Townsend) Hahn of Royal Oak; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Hahn, whom she married Sept. 13, 1947. Memorial visitation Saturday, May 3, noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service, will be at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile, Royal Oak.
