Christopher Leon, 27, a lifelong resident of Ferndale, died suddenly Tuesday, April 15, 2008. He was born Nov. 16, 1980, in Royal Oak. Mr. Leon worked as a master mechanic for several dealerships in the Detroit metropolitan area. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He also enjoyed rebuilding cars, adventure and traveling. Mr. Leon's family and friends will remember him as a free spirit and gentle soul with a good heart. He is survived by his parents, Emilia (Jack) Nicholas and Alex Leon; sisters, Ariadni Leon and Carmen (Dr. Arash) Leon-Armin; grandmother, Ariadni Mazanakis; godmother, Sophia (Robert) Fryc; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday from 28 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Trisagion service, at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy; and Friday, 11:30 a.m. until the noon funeral service, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 760 W. Wattles Road, Troy.
