David Robert Roberts, 82, of Troy, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at home. He was born Jan. 13,1926, in Ontario, to David and Lidia Roberts. Mr. Roberts served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a truck driver for many years and a member of Central Free Will Baptist Church, Royal Oak. He enjoyed traveling, farming, gardening and telling stories. Surviving are his wife, Ola, whom he wed Oct. 18, 1975, in Troy; children, David C. (Reggie) Roberts of Hohenwald, Tenn., Diana (Bill) Dubois of Nightdale, N.C., Linda Scharf of Zebulon, N.C., Betty Jane (David) O'Brian of Grand Rapids, Pamela (Gary) McGowan of Clinton Township and Ola (Moe) Attar of Clawson; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation, 4-9 p.m. today, Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak; service, 1 p.m. Tuesday, funeral home, with the Rev.
