Etha Lee Smith, 94, of Madison Heights, died March 30, 2008, at her home. She was born July 12, 1913, in Palmyra, Tenn., to William Robert and Adeline Davidson. Mrs. Smith will be remembered as a loving mother and homemaker. She attended Warner Memorial Church of God, Ferndale. Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Wendell Lloyd Smith of Lousiana, James Lincoln (Yo-land) Smith of Sterling Heights, William David Smith of Madison Heights, Edward Wayne (Carol) Smith of Madison Heights, Dorothy Phyllis (Gerald) Rupp of Brighton, Robert Lee Smith of Rose City, Donald Lewis Smith of Madison Heights, and Merrill Alan Amith of Madison Heights; sister Claytie Dority of Clarkson, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, David Lincoln Smith; and her siblings, Earl, Lonnie, Archie; Arthur, Lillie and Pearl. Visitation today, 2-9 p.m., and funeral service Wednesday, 11 a.m., will be at Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420S. Lafayette, Royal Oak. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
