Thomas A. McMasters III, 58, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Mr. McMasters graduated in 1967 from Madison Heights High School. He was the Past National Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Association and was employed as their State Adjunct. Mr. McMasters is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sandi (Brewster); children, Thomas A. (Rena) McMasters IV, Krysten (Matthew) Gonda, and Lauren McMasters; father, Thomas A. McMasters Jr.; grandson, Gavin; sisters, Kristine McMasters, Lori (Charles) Almashy, and Nancy (Roman) Pickens; nieces, JoAnna, Jessica, Shannon and Amanda; nephews, Alan, Geoff and Rory; seven grandnieces; and three grandnephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Annabelle McMasters; sister, Peggy (Rick) Pawlowski; and two grandnephews. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-9 p.m., and Friday from 39 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Disabled American Veterans ritual, and funeral service Saturday at 10:30 a.m., all at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr, Sterling Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans Association. Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
