Albert Cecil Holman, 86, of Troy, died March 13, 2008. Mr. Holman retired from the Selective Service Board as an auditor. He had a combined 35 years of military experience with the Army, Air Force and National Guard. Mr. Holman was a World War II veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was also a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Holman is survived by his sister, Rosalie (Robert) Duprey; nieces and nephew Laura Duprey, Sandra (Craig) Scott, Jeffrey (Christine) Duprey, and Patricia (David) Hough; great-nieces and great-nephews David, Brandon, Neal, Robert, Elizabeth, Michael, and Tracy; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews Sesa, Payton, Landon, Brynne, and Reece; and devoted friend Brian Bolton. Mr. Holman was predeceased by his parents, Orval and Ermal (Bowers) Holman; brother Charles Holman; and nephew Donald Holman. Visitation Saturday, 3-8 p.m., Sunday, 2-8 p.m., and Monday, 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service, will be at Price Funeral Home, 3725 Rochester Road, Troy, (248) 689-0700.
