George Lyon, 77, of Clawson, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Detroit. Mr. Lyon was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and board member with the American Legion Post #167. He retired in 1993 from Valiant Industries in Warren. Mr. Lyon loved NASCAR, Michigan football, hunting and spending time with friends at the American Legion. Mr. Lyon is survived by his children, Dusty (Cathy) Flowers, Tom (Nancy) Lyon, and Connie (Larry) Skaug; siblings, Dorothy, Ray (Carol), and Gordon (Sue); nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Aneta; parents, Merton and Constance Lyon; daughter, Billye; and brother, Leonard Lyon. A memorial service Saturday, 11 a.m., will be at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Gramer Funeral Home, Claw- son.
