Robert Staats, 70, a 40-year resident of Hazel Park, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at home. He was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Ohswehen, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Staats retired after working many years in the tooling industry for Ceratizit LLC. He enjoyed all sports. He was a loving husband and family man. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean; children, Darrel (Tammy) Staats, Sharon Staats andJennifer (Timothy) Miller; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was predeceased by siblings, Gary, Diane, Eva, Brenda and Wilma.
