Dennis M. Spicer, 67, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., formerly of Mission Viejo, Calif., Clinton Township and Royal Oak, died Jan. 26, 2008, at home. He was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Detroit. Mr. Spicer attended Shrine High School and graduated from Berkley High School. He attended Ferris State University, where he was a member of the college football team. He married Debra A. (Gershon) April 19,1986, in Las Vegas. Mr. Spicer owned and operated Denny's Upholstery and Cal-West Signs in Laguna Nigel, Calif. He retired to Lake Havasu City in 2003. Mr. Spicer had an extraordinary number of friends with whom he liked to spend his time. He also enjoyed traveling and craftwork; he was a remarkably talented artisan. Mr. Spicer is survived by his wife, Debra; children Christine M. Spicer of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Susan (Gary) Zimmerman of Orange County, Calif.; siblings Richard 0. (Deborah) Spicer of Port Clinton, Ohio, Carol Rae Cavlovic of Laguna Nigel, Calif., Kathleen A. Spicer of Rochester and Kevin G. Spicer of Macomb County; two grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Olin E. and Grace M. (Foy) Spicer. A "Celebration of Life" for Mr. Spicer will be held March 1 in Lake Havasu City.
