Douglas Riley Sr., 87, of Hazel Park, died Feb. 8, 2008, at his home. He was born July 26, 1920, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Mr. Riley graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1938. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. Mr. Riley was retired from Ford Motor Co: after 44 years of service. He was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Hazel Park. He had been a member of the Family Camper and R.V.'s Association for 42 years and was a Hazel Park resident for 84 years. Mr. Riley is survived by his children, Maureen K. Riley, Douglas Riley Jr. and Edith (Ron) Kunze; granddaughter Katie Kunze; and siblings Hazel Lyons and Elsie Perez. He was predeceased by his wife, Sadie. Visitation Sunday, 2-9 p.m., will be at Hoperoft Funeral Home, 31145 John R., Madison Heights. Funeral service Monday, 11 a.m., will be at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 340 N. Main, Clawson. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Rainbow Scholarships or Honor Flight Michigan, Inc.
