Clyde E. Minor, 73, a resident of Royal Oak for the past 17 years, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Boulevard Hills Nursing Home in Rochester Hills. He was born April 24, 1934, in Broughton, Ill. Mr. Minor, formerly of Highland Park, retired as a deputy su perintendent from Highland Park Schools. He formerly taught English and speech for Kalamazoo Area Public Schools, managed the Teacher's Credit Union in Highland Park and was an administrator for adult education classes in Highland Park. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He also was a member of Highland Park Lion's Club and a F and AM 536 in Berkley. Mr. Minor is survived by his life partner, Laura Carolin; stepchildren, Kenneth (Darlene) Car. olin, Steven (Kelly) Carolin, Dan. iel Carolin and Timothy (Robin); son-in-law, Ray Dixon; siblings, George (Carol) Minor of Galacia, Calif., Norma (Kenneth) Way of Portage and Les (Sue) Minor of Portage; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece and three nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705W. 11 Mile Road (four blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak, with the Rev. Dale Hunter officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, with an evening Masonic service under the auspices of F & AM 536. Memorial contributions may be addressed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association. Memories may be shared with the family at www.sullivanfuneraldirectors.com.
