Charles Poehlman, 84, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at home. He was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Detroit. Mr. Poehlman was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War. He will be missed by family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Betty, whom he married Jan. 28, 1946, in Ferndale; children, Danny (Marti) Poehlman of Louisville, Ky., and Nancy (James) Cook of Shelbyville, Ky.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, James Charles Poehlman. Visitation, 4-8 p.m. today and 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wm.
