Ruth Fay Cottongim, 78, a longtime resident of Oak Park, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, in Royal Oak.. She was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Marrowbone, Ky., to George and Madie Abiston. Mrs. Cottongim retired from Oakland County Mobile Meals after 13 years of service. Surviving are her husband, Roy, whom she married on Feb. 26,1972; daughter, Janet (John) Wilson of Indiana; sister, Nina Abiston ofKentucky and several nieces and nephews.
