Fritcher, James Merritt; born January 29, 1930, in Pontiac; died April 18, 2015. James married Lynne Ann Merriss on June 15, 1956. James is the father of Kurt, Sheri (Webster - Swartz) and preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillian; his sister, Donna Goldsworthy; his youngest daughter, Lori, who died May 26, 1991; and his son, Scot, who died February 3, 2014; and his grandson, Andrew Webster, who died September 29, 2013. He is the grandfather of Jonathan and Amalie; also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Mr. Fritcher was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He retired his position as Senior Reliability Engineer from GM Truck and Bus in Pontiac. James was multitalented in oil painting, woodworking, stained glass, flying, building and designing remote controlled model airplanes, wooden model ship building, and a golf enthusiast. He also played the organ and belonged to Burn Fitness in Auburn Hills, where he would work out regularly. James is dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at HUNTOON FUNERAL HOME - Huron Street Chapel. Funeral Service will be Saturday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Perry Mt. Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Center of Hope in Pontiac.
