Marian Kangas age 88 passed away peacefully on September 15 2011. She was born Marian Beens on January 28 1923 on Albany Street in Ferndale the street where she raised her family and lived her entire life. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Donald Kangas. She was a devoted mother of three children Gary (late Terri) Kangas of Flushing Susan (Edmund) Mattisson on Petaluma Calif. and Brian (Barbara) Kangas of Sterling Heights. She was the proud grandmother ofnine grandchildren. She was the loving sister of Minnie Langevin and Connie Sigler also of Ferndale. She is preceded in death by her parent; two brothers and one sister. Visitation memorial service will be held at her lifelong church of worship First Baptist Church of Ferndale on Saturday September 24 at 10:30 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions in Marian's memory are made to the First Baptist Church of Ferndale.
