Mr. Richard Hatherley passed away August 23 2011 at home. He was born October 18 1945 in Buckroe Beach Va. A son of Marjorie and Nelson (deceased) Hatherley. A 1963 graduate of Royal Oak Dondero High School and studied Engineering at Lawrence Tech. On October 14th 1967 he was married to Joann (Erickson) in Royal Oak moving to Brighton in 1975. He was employed by ACS Group Schaumburg Ill as a Technical Sales Manager for over 40 years. Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years Joann; son Steve (Barbie); daughters Kris (Tony) Tognetti and Erica (Chris) Whitcomb; grandsons Blake and Parker Hatherley Mac Tognetti; and granddaughters Paige Hatherley Mallory and Cali Tognetti Macy Morgan and Lola Whitcomb; her mother Marjorie; stepfather Donald Hicks of Rochester; brothers Robert (Darlene) Hatherley of Oxford Ray (Teri) Hatherley of Royal Oak; sisters Susan (Joseph) Bitnias of Northville Nancy (Patrick) Brunner of Troy. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Keehn Funeral Home Brighton. Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday at Cornerstone EPC with the Reverend Dr. Richard J. Alberta officiating.
