Ronald Edwin Gegenheimer age 59 of Imlay City formerly of Clawson passed away suddenly Saturday August 20 2011. He was born September 8 1951 in Royal Oak Mich. Ron graduated from Clawson High School Clawson Mich in 1969 and attended Western Michigan University. Ron was an incredible athlete in his younger years and continued his passion for baseball as a fan of the Detroit Tigers. His love of the outdoors was exceeded only by his love of family. Family and friends will always remember Ron's generosity and sense of humor. Survivors include his mother Sally Gegenheimer; sisters Jennifer Gegenheimer-Holmes Caren Gegenheimer and Cheryl (Francis Vonderau) Gegenheimer; and his brother Dr. Alan Gegenheimer. He is also survived by many loving aunts uncles nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father Eldred Edwin Gegenheimer. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Harmony Hall 1570 Suncrest Drive Lapeer MI 48466. 810-667-0251. A private memorial service will be held.
