Robert E. (Bob) Johnson, 73, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at his home in Clifford, Mich. Mr. Johnson lived in Clifford the past 17 years and was previously from the Royal Oak area. He was born February 20,1934, in Elkhart, Indiana. He married Phyllis Grimes May 9,1953, in Elkhart, Ind. He worked as an engineer for Positive Proto Type Inc. in Royal Oak for many years until his retirement. He was a long time member of the Sandusky Church of God in Sandusky, Mich. He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Clifford; daughters, Pamela (Rev. Tom) Champion of Holland, Debra (David) Martheler of Augres, Rebekah (Tom) Logsdon of Farmington Hills. Rachel (Larry) High of Royal Oak; brother, Alfred (Doris) Johnson of Elkhart, Ind.; sister, Mary Lovely of Goshen, Ind.; nineteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents Vernon and Terilla (Brock) Cook; sons, William and Edward Johnson; brother, Ben Cook; and two sisters, Winnie Lovely and Sherla Brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, with Rev. Kenneth Norcross and Rev. Thomas Champion officiating. Burial will be in the West Burlington Cemetery in Silver-wood, Mich. Memorials may be donated to the Sandusky Church of God. Visitation will be held 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
