Richard Bruce Ferrier, 65, of Mount Pleasant for three years and formerly of Clawson for 30 years, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, a St. John Hospital, Detroit. He was born Nov. 8, 1942 in North Branch. Mr. Ferrier was a Troy High School alumnus and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed sports, was a member of the Clawson-Troy Elks for 30 years, Alma Elks and secretary of the Elks State Bowling Association. He was a firefighter for Bloomfield Township for 32 years, retiring in 1996. He also was a member of the International Association of Firefighters and a mentor to many of the firemen. Mr. Ferrier also was a sales representative at Wickes Lumber on Rochester Road for 23 years. Mr. Ferrier was predeceased by his parents, Careld and Frances. Surviving are his wife, Judith, whom he wed Sept. 24, 1966 in Rochester; children, Joseph (Marianne), and Michelle Ferrier; siblings, Robert (Shawn), Lee (Dava), Jeff (Janette), Randy (Debbie) and Bruce.
