Dennis Michael White, 57, a resident of Holly 31 years, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007. He was born April 16, 1950, in Detroit. Mr. White, formerly of Berkley, was the owner and foreman of Edward J. White Contractors. He grew up in Berkley, graduated from Berkley High School, and then graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in education. He married Jeanne on July 12,1974, in Royal Oak. His family described him as a wonderful husband and father who lived life to the fullest. He also was an avid golfer. Mr. White is survived by his wife, Jeanne; children, Rachel (Bryan) Gehrcke of Portland, Joshua White of Holly, and Amy White of Holly; siblings, Edward (Karen) White of Troy, John (Sandra) White of Canton, Robert (Suzanne) White of Clarkston, Margaret (Gerald) Hall of Clarkston, Susan White of Rochester Hills, Ellen (Robert) Hume of Middleburg, Fla., and Kathleen (Larry) Testin of Mercer, Wis.; and brother-in-law, Mitchell Gorkiewicz of Highland. He was predeceased by his sister, Bethany Gorkiewicz. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church, 2123 Roseland Ave. (northeast corner of 12 Mile Road and Woodward), Royal Oak. Burial will be in Oak-view Cemetery. Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 W. 12 Mile Road, (two blocks west of Woodward), Berkley. Additional visitation is 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be addressed to the donor's choice of charity. Memories may be shared with the family at www.sawyerfuller.com.
