Leonard A. White, 77, a longtime resident of Hazel Park, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1930, in Slatington, Pa. Mr. White retired in 1990 from GTE Sylvania. A Korean War U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of VFW Post 3140 of Hazel Park, VFW Post 1407 of Ferndale and Hazel Park Eagles Aerie 2449. He married Debbie on April 21,1990, in Hazel Park. He also was an avid poker player. Mr. White is survived by his wife, Debbie White; children, Nicole Marie White and Ashley Rose White, both of Hazel Park; and siblings, Claudine Walters, Sterling White and Ethel Jones. He was predeceased by his siblings, Kermit White, Elwood White, Eleanor White, Adeline Reitz and Eleanor Lambrose. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R., Hazel Park. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
