Chris W. Leonowicz, 54, of St. Clair Shores and formerly of Imlay City and Hazel Park, died suddenly Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at home. He was born Oct. 17, 1953, in Detroit. Mr. Leonowicz was raised in Hazel Park and attended Hazel Park schools. He was a creative and skilled craftsman. Surviving are his children, Nick Leonowicz of Evart and Lauren Leonowicz of Imlay City; parents, Walter and Irene Leonowicz; siblings, Kenneth, David, Steven, Paul, Charles and Renee VanderHagen; and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Memorial visitation, 49 p.m. Wednesday at Hoperoft Funeral Home, 23919 John R, Hazel Park; memorial services, 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Hazel Park, with Fr. Bede Louzon officiating.
