Marian Marguarite Vasbinder, 82, of Vero Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at Broadmoor Assisted Living facil ity in Fort Pierce, Fla. She was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Bad Axe, to the late Ada Jane (nee Sibbald) and Stanley Noble Bowron. At the age of 1 she moved to Hazel Park, where she lived until moving to Vero Beach in 1983. She graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1943. She was the bookkeeper for more than 14 years at Kimball High School, Royal Oak, and taught Sunday school at Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church. She led Brownie and Girl Scout troops when her daughters were young and was a troop leader for Campfire Girls as a young woman. After moving to Vero Beach, she volunteered at the Indian Rivery County Library. She was chair of the Cemetery Committee, Indian River Genealogical Society Inc., contributing to the publication "Cemeteries of Indian River County Florida" (1987). She is survived by her husband, Richard "Jack" Vasbinder, whom she married in 1948; daughters, Beverly Arnie (George) Sprague of Ridgetop, Tenn., and Susan Ada Vasbinder of Los Altos, Calif.; two grandsons, George Henry Sprague III "Chip" and Richard Clyde, also of Tennessee; sister, Thelma (John) Mulhall; six nephews of Monroe, Wis.; a niece and nephew in Michigan; her hus. band's cousins, Harry and Ann Boughton of Royal Oak; lifelong friend Gladys (Clarkson) Law; and "niece" friend, Kathleen Ried, among many of the people who shared her love and laughter. She was predeceased by her youngest sister, Betty (Charles) Fleming.
