Theodore F Verner, 106, of Port Austin and formerly of the Royal Oak area, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. Mr. Verner was one of the state's oldest residents. He was an avid golfer into his 90s. Born in Poland, Mr. Verner came to the United States at age 3. He owned and operateLouise businesses in Royal Oak and Detroit and owned the Sun and Sand Motel in Port Austin. Mr. Verner was predeceased by his first wif, Margaret Elezebeth. Surviving are his beloved wife of 19 years, Theresa B. Verner; loving father of Delphine Jarred, Jim and Marge Verner, Fred and Norma Verner, and Marilyn and Richard DiLaura; 12 grandchildren; and 17 greatgrandchildren.
